Addiction Rehab is one of the most needed services in the U.S. Today. There are millions in the country suffering from addiction to drugs and Alcohol and for many of them addiction rehab will be the only hope to regain any sort of productive enjoyable life. However, addiction resources vary widely in availability, cost, Treatment modality etc. There is often even a drastic difference, facility to facility about what addiction even is medically and therefore what approach should be used to help someone suffering.
When addiction rehab is needed however there can be no time to wast researching the intricacies of modalities and philosophies. A life is at stake and the person has agreed they have a problem. This is where abundant mistakes are made. Suddenly the person wants help and the family finds the nearest resource available to them and Bang, he's in rehab. This is ok, as long as it works. More often than not, it doesn't.
The facility is too close to home and drug using buddies or the philosophy of addiction and it's cure doesn't meld with the person's background or beliefs. One way or the other a failed attempt at recovery is all that is achieved and now the person is at risk again by continuing the usage of drugs and unfortunately with at least a reasonable consideration that rehab doesn't work based on their experience in trying to get help.
Just a little help and planning before jumping into a program can prevent much future problems and may prevent the loss of life if otherwise the person were to start using again after a failed rehab attempt and either OD or by any other method become deceased in the process.
Millions of good people have lost their life with a real solution perfectly available to them. They just didn't know.
