The number of addiction treatment centers and drug rehab programs in the United States has grown to exorbitant numbers, and many of these addiction treatment centers offer treatment for a host of problems that may surround addiction and are associated with drug addiction but can be disguised as “mental health” and drastically skew away from dealing directly with drug or alcohol addiction and helping the person achieve complete recovery.
An addiction treatment center can be the only thing standing in the way of guaranteed death or long term imprisonment for a person suffering from addiction. The chances that an individual will be able to handle their addiction on their own, at least in many cases, is relatively small.
