Charlie Sheen’s Ex-Wife Brooke Mueller Back in Rehab
As part of “ongoing treatment” for substance abuse treatment, Brooke Mueller, ex-wife of warlock Charlie Sheen, has checked herself back into rehab, reports TMZ.com.
Partying with Sheen precedes rehab stint
Following a four-day carousal with Charlie Sheen, Brooke drove herself back to rehab a few weeks ago. “She met up with Charlie again, partied for four days straight at his Mulholland Estate home and ultimately fell off the wagon,” according to Celebuzz, which reports that Brooke is still struggling with an addiction of crack-cocaine. Brooke even failed to spend Mother’s Day with her and Sheen’s twins, Max and Bob, who are now three years old.
When Brooke visited Sheen’s Los Angeles home she seemed out of sorts — to the point where Sheen felt that she should be evaluated by an addiction specialist, according to TMZ. Brooke left Sheen’s residence before he was able to get her checked out by a professional addiction specialist.
“As part of her ongoing treatment and as planned, she voluntarily checked herself into a rehab facility several weeks ago,” her rep, Steve Honig, said to Celebuzz.
“As Brooke told the Court a couple of weeks ago, she will spend the rest of her life trying to stay sober, with every day being a struggle. As part of her ongoing treatment and as planned, she voluntarily checked herself into a rehab facility several weeks ago. Brooke is doing well and is grateful she has a strong support system on which she can rely,” said Honig.
Mueller previously convicted of cocaine felony and assault
Last December, Brooke entered rehab following an arrest in Aspen, Colorado for a cocaine a felony and assault misdemeanor. Brooke was released from jail when Sheen posted $11,000 for her release. Currently on probation for this arrest, Brooke must take random urine tests as part of her plea deal. A condition of her probation is to stave off alcohol; a failed random urinalysis could place her back in jail.
The sudden news comes nearly 60 days after Brooke was released from a rehab facility where she received treatment for three months. Mueller, who is now 34 years old, has been in and out of rehab clinics since she and Sheen divorced following the highly publicized argument in Aspen during Christmas in 2009.
Brooke is the former costar of Oxygen’s The World According to Paris with Paris Hilton, was a special correspondent on Extra, and worked as a real estate agent. She also played Janet, in the 1999 movie Witchouse.
“Brooke’s family is hoping that she finally understands the consequences of her actions. That is, she risks losing all of her rights to the children if she doesn’t get clean — once and for all.”
